Experience the arctic in a stunning expedition to Nordkapp. Spend the night in our polar base camp. This unique experience is for everyone. You will be hunting for the northern lights, learning about the arctic and reaching the northernmost of Europe on snow shoes.
We will pick you up by your place of choice, before we travel by vehicle into the wilderness. Then we venture by foot or snowshoes to our Base camp in the middle of a frozen lake. We will be setting up our camp very easily and learning polar techniques as we go along. We enjoy an arctic meal by the camp fire before we embark on a northern lights hunt.
We spend the night in our polar camp, in comfortable and warm sleeping bags and tents. In the morning we enjoy our breakfast by the fire. We pack our equipment and prepare for our journey to the top of the world. Then we set out by foot or snow shoes like true polar explorers to Nordkapp.
At Nordkapp there will be a celebration with sparkling wine or suitable beverage, along with a movie performance taking us through all seasons, group photo by globe, historical exhititions and guided tour around the visitor center. We leave the North Cape by vehicle and return to Honningsvåg.
The temperature is normally mild along the coast, but we are always prepared for winter conditions. Average temperature in winter is -3 deg. centigrades. You only need to bring your own clothes. Clothing needs to be suited for winter with several layers, a winter hat and gloves and suitable footwear.
We will pick you up at your place of choice, such as the local airport, Hurtigruten or hotels.
