NORTHERN LIGHTS POLAR CAMP

Get close to the arctic and experience polar environment in a safe and exciting way. This unique experience is for everyone. You will be venturing into the arctic on snow shoes or by foot, going to our Base Camp. You will be learning about the arctic in the wilderness, hunting for the Northern lights as we go along. We will be make a fire and a expedittion meal at base camp.

We will pick you up by your place of choice in the afternoon, before we travel by vehicle into the wilderness. Then we venture by foot or snowshoes, crossing frozen lakes and a flat scenery which makes it easy to travel. We will be learning polar techniques as we go along.

We will be hunting for the Norhern lights as we venture along, getting close to nature. At base camp we will make a fire and prepare a expedittion meal, sitting around the fireplace. There will be information and insights into the arctic way of life.

• This tour is easy for everyone, walking distance is approx. 2 km.
• We provide snowshoes and necessary equipment such as headlamps
• The tour is led by an experienced polar guide

The temperature is normally mild along the coast, but we are always prepared for winter conditions. Average temperature in winter is -3 deg. centigrades. You only need to bring your own clothes. Clothing needs to be suited for winter with several layers, a winter hat and gloves and suitable footwear.

We will pick you up at your place of choice.

Meeting time approx.: 18:00 (starting time might change due to light conditions vary through the year)
